Michigan Functional and Integrative Medicine believes in creating a patient-centered environment and getting back to cultivating a true, therapeutic doctor/patient relationship. The practice is a blend of conventional medicine with a systems and evidence-based, holistic approach to treating the whole person – mind, body and soul. Emphasis is placed on finding and treating the root cause of symptoms vs. just suppressing and managing symptoms.  Our goal is to create and maintain health instead of just treating sickness.

We focus on learning and maintaining best practices for nutrition, exercise, body composition, sleep hygiene and stress management to aid in youthful aging. Using a nutrigenomic approach to treatment, first line therapy is to use non-pharmaceutical alternatives to being proactive about creating and maintaining healthy lifestyle practices, that can be passed on generationally from family member to family member.

In the end, we empower patients to be able to take charge and be the CEO of their own health.
